Welcome to Sarawak!
Sarawak is the largest of Malaysia’s 13 states and is one of the two states located on the third largest island in the world – Borneo. It is situated on the northwest of the island, bordering the state of Sabah to the northeast, Indonesia in the south and surrounding Brunei.
Known as the ‘Land of Hornbills’, it is a unique and diverse gem in terms of culture and its rich flora and fauna. Despite its growth and development, Sarawak still maintains its reputation as the most exotic state in Malaysia as its rainforests are amongst the oldest in the world. It is home to many endangered animals such as the Orang Utans, Proboscis Monkeys and others.
Kuching (means cat in the Malay language) is the capital city in Sarawak and can be reached by flights from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Brunei, Kota Kinabalu, Johor Bahru and more. Kuching has all the modern amenities without losing its old world charm.
