Day 1: Semenggoh Orang Utan / Mongkos Longhouse
0800hrs, pick up and depart to Semenggoh Orang Utan Centre. The centre consists of 740 hectare of virgin forest and it is home to orang utans . You will have an opportunity to observe how the orang utans are being rehabilitated and trained to fend for themselves before being released into the wild. Visitors are allowed to study and observe the orang utans at a distance. Depart park and continue overland drive to Mongkos Bidayuh Village which is located near the Sarawak-Kalimantan Border and approximately 100km from Kuching. Stopover at a native market in Serian town where you may see a variety of jungle produce such as edible ferns and local fruits.
Upon arrival at Mongkos Bidayuh village, check in to your room in the village guesthouse or room in one of the village houses or longhouse. Lunch will be served.After lunch, tour the longhouse, meet the villagers and learn about the culture and lifestyle of the Bidayuhs, who are the second largest Dayak tribe in Sarawak. Take a stroll around the village or have a swim in the nearby river. After dinner, enjoy a Cultural performance by the children in the village. Overnight at Mongkos Homestay accommodation. (Lunch/Dinner included)
Day 2 : Nature walk / farm visit / picnic lunch / Kuching
After breakfast, depart on a guided walk through nearby farms where local fruits such as Rambutan, mango, bananas, jackfruit and local vegetables are grown (crops depending on season). Visit the legendary “Batu Kapal” which is located a short distance from the village. Arrive at the picnic area by a small waterfall and enjoy a local style lunch where food will be cooked in bamboo.
After lunch, relax around the picnic area or have a swim.Depart Mongkos Village and return to Kuching. (Breakfast/Picnic Lunch included)

Remarks: Accommodation at Guesthouse building next to longhouse (rooms with air-con) or in rooms at village houses (Room with fan).
Things to bring / wear: Light comfortable clothing, towel, swim wear, sandals, sun hat, sun block lotion, insect repellent, raincoat and drinking water.
Note: In accordance to the Malaysian Tourism Tax Act 2017, with effect from 1st Sep 2017, all foreign tourists will be charged a flat rate of RM10 per room per night in any registered tourist accommodation premises and this is collected directly by the hotels/resorts/lodges upon check in. The Tourism Tax (TTx) is mandatory under Malaysian Law. Tourism Tax is not included in this package.
