Day 1 Kuching / Matang Wildlife / Kubah National Park
Morning, depart on a 45 mins drive to Matang Wildlife Centre, part of Kubah National Park, houses endangered wildlife in large enclosed areas of rainforest or spacious cages. The main attraction is the Orang utan adoption program, where young orang utans, who were either orphaned or rescued from captivity, are taught how to survive in the wild. The centre also houses some Sambar deer, sun bear, civets and some species of endangered birds
Proceed to Kubah National Park headquarters for registration and check in lodge (Room with fan). Pack lunch will be served. Afternoon, depart on a nature trail to explore Kubah National Park. Return to lodge.
After dinner, proceed on a trail with our Amphibians specialist to spot the many species of frogs that are found abundant in this park area. Learn about the different species of amphibians that you have spotted along the trail. After tour, return back to your lodge. (Pack lunch / dinner included)
Day 2 Semenggoh Orang Utan / Kuching
After breakfast, check out and depart to Semenggoh Orang Utan Centre. The centre consists of 740 hectare of virgin forest and it is home to orang utans . You will have an opportunity to observe how the orang utans are being rehabilitated and trained to fend for themselves before being released into the wild. Visitors are allowed to study and observe the orang utans at a distance. Depart park and proceed back to the city centre. Transfer back to your hotel. (Breakfast included)
Note: In accordance to the Malaysian Tourism Tax Act 2017, with effect from 1st Sep 2017, all foreign tourists will be charged a flat rate of RM10 per room per night in any registered tourist accommodation premises and this is collected directly by the hotels/resorts/lodges upon check in.
